SAM PARMER WINS THE STEEPLECHASE. Buffalo, N. Y., August 21. Counter attractions in Buffalo affected the attendance at Fort Erie today. The steeplechase for beaten horses at this meeting went to Sain Parmer, the second choice in the betting. Sartor Resartus, the favorite, bolted at the first jump. Sam Parmer anil Bank Holiday made all the running. The latter tired after taking the tenth jump and Little Wally, which was running In third position, moved up gamely anil fought It out with the winner all through the stretch.
