Camp" broke fully in motion, set a fast pace and, standing a hard drive through the stretch, gamely outlasted Frank Flesher. The latter ran a good race and finished fast from a slow beginning. Mildrene closed a good gap and was gaining rit the end. Lady VImont ran in improved form and can win when properly placed. Triumphant, hard ridden, was a forward contender, from the start, but tired badly after going five furlongs. The Golden Bird was in close quarters most of the way. Dresden, also showing Improved form, forced a fast pace, but tired slightly when seemingly the winner.. Magle bad a. rough trip and closed a big gap In the stretch run. Fiasco showed speed, was favored at the start and ran a good race. Falkland, away badlv, came with a rush in the Inst quarter after closing a tremendous gap. and would probably have won with equal lacing luck. Lady Ethel ran a dull race and can do much letter. Alma Gardia was stiff and sore when going to the post and ran, n bad race. Merry Belle quit after going a good half. Scratched 61254 Thlberus, 95. Inglis, in rare form, put up a good performance and, better handled, might have won. Meadowbreeze showed the most early speed and Jed under restraint for six furlongs, but tired In the stretch. Won easily; second and third driving. The Englishman, away well and clear of interference, saved much ground on the stretch turn and came away fast in the last furlong. Red Thistle followed Toboggan closely to the stretch turn, where he wore him down, but tired slightly in the final drive. Toboggan showed the most early speed and would probably have won off by himself but for falling lame on the stretcli turn and pulled up almost broken down. Postman got caught in a jam and was knocked back on the first turn and, after closing a big gap. was eased up through the stretch when his chance for winning appeared hopeless. Athena came fast in the last half. Light Opera ran a bad race. Labor fell lame and was pulled up. Scratched 4J2910 Paaifico, 107; 64160 Jim Hale, 109; 041S3 St. Denis, 107. Revolt, also favored by the going, ran a good race anil finished going Jast and gamely. Babe B. showed early speed, but tired after going a half. Santon, away in a tangle, steadily improved his position, finished fast and showed sudden improvement. Mayor Johnson quit badly after going a half and ran a bad race. Blucher closed a big gap.
