LEADING TRAINERS OF THE SEASON. In the matter of winners saddled during the first eight months of racing in 1006, Billy Garth, the Virginia trainer, heads the list. Mr. Garth began with the opening of the season at Benuings in March and it was at the Washington track and at Pimllco that he got the bulge on his felVw trainers. But in the matter of money won by the winners Saddled, Jimmy Rowe, who handles the horses of James R. Keene, bus the lead. Since the opening of the season in the east, which was in April. Fred Hanlon, who handles the horses of Pat Dunne, has made a better showins than any other western trainer, ne is second on the list with fifty-five winners.
