Grandlta ran as if best, followed the early leaders closely and, standing a hard drive well, came away in the stretch run and won well in hand. Dormonde forced a fast pace and dashed Into the lead after going a quarter and lasted well in the final drive. Sister Huffman closed a big gap from a slow beginulug and was going fast at the end. Avendow tired after going five furlongs. The Golden Bird was iu" close quarters early, had to go wide Into the stretch and finished fast. Agra would not extend herself. Red Thistle, "away well and lucky throughout, showed the most speed and, standing a hard drive through the stretch, won well In hand. Morendo, hard ridden all the way, stood the final drive gamely, gained steadily and was going fast at the end. Miladi Love, poorly handled, ran a good race but, under weak handling, tired at the end. My Gem. poorly handled and meeting interference, came fast at the end and closed a big gap in the last half. Piller tired in the last quarter. Jehanc was a contender for the Drist half. Slayor Johnson closed a big gao steadily and was going fast at the end. Azora. almost left at the post, ran a winning race and came with a good burst of speed through the stretch. Speedmaker tired after early prominence. Minnie Johnson showed her usual high speed, but quit badly in the last quarter. Loupy was going fast at the end and ran a good race. Ziufaudel was excessively used and raced Into exhaustion in contending with Camille. The latter quit after going a half, but showed speed and sudden improvement. Sam Craig, badly outrun early, came with a rush near the end. Stroud was badly handled and lost much ground by going wide most of the way. Begonia tired after going three-quarters.
