GOOD SPORT AT WINDSOR. Detroit, Mich., September 1. The large crowd in attendance at the Windsor track was highly entertained. A handicap at a mile and a sixteenth and a steeplcchse over the short course were the fea tures. Five out of the seven choices brought home the money for the followers of form. Only three of the seven steeplechasers finished the course within tlie time limit. The race was replete with accidents. Sartor Resartus and Peter Becker lilted, the former going over the wing of the first jump. Sam Parmer and Little Wally unseated their riders and this left Manzano sailing along in front. When it came to the final obstacle Trenct the Mere refused to go over and the first money went to Manzano by an eighth of a mile. Trenct the Mere finally was induced to take the last jump and finished second a like distance. Sam Parmers boy iu the meantime remounted and finished the course and got third money. George Hendrie has purchased from E. S. Gardner the two-year-old colts Charlie Gilbert and Restoration, the price being private. R. C. Chambers has returned from Nebraska where he was called to attend the funeral of his mother. Ed. Corrlgau has wired for stable room and stalls have been assigned him for sixteen horses. U. Z.
