OBEGAR IS UNDER THE BAN. JUDGE HAMILTON. SUSPENDS; HIM INDEFINITE- LY FOR INCONSISTENT RIDING. J. Under most favorable conditions racing was resumed atDouglas Parle today." The attendance was large- and the-sport was excellent. The judicial axe was used on. jockeys Oregar, J. Melntyre. and Hudlin. Oregar had the mount on Ida Davis and rode one1 of timid races with the result that the filly was eliminated as a sharp factor after going the, first .quarter. Oregar seemed perfectly content to trail the others until turning into the stretch where -he. began, rldios-hard and the filly, responding .with.. rare gameness came from a long way -back and finished, afaat going third to Posing -and Green Room. The judges questioned the rider about, his action in taking the filly, back soon after the start to a rear position, but failed to elict a satisfactory answer. In striking contrast was the ride he piitvup ou Zipdngo in the second-race.-- He showed the ability of a finished artist on the Jones colt,, with. the. re.-sult that he beat out some good youngsters after a terrific stretch drive, with Plausible. .The. ralibg suspending Oregar indefinitely then followed. Hudlin on Marpessa and J. Melntyre on High-Bear, in the last race, were suspended because c-f. rough riding, both being flagrantly guilty.. . A mishap wliich came in the feature race probably terminated-the racing career of J. O. Keene8 Red Lcafv Scovllle got her away- in - a, good position and in his effort to secure a bigger advantage -while racing to the first turn, attempted to steer Red Leaf to the Inner rail from an-outer-position. He misjudged her speed with the result that there was a jam in which some horse jumped on the filly and cut her teudon almost in two. Colonel Jim Douglas showed a return of his good Latonia form and, ably ridden by Dominick, landed the purse from Harinakis, with Celeres, the early pacemaker and favorite, third. The accident to Red "Leaf also caused a jam hi which Old Stone and Devout suffered1 most and practically- destroyed their chances. On his promise to remain ou good behavior hereafter jockey Cherry was given permission to ..accept mounts. The stake book for the Crescent City Jockey Clubs meeting is being distributed!" E. R. Thomas was among the visitors. E. Dealy has arrived from Canada with six horses Including Wexford. Jockey Dealy will do the riding for the stable. The horses comprising the stables of C. V. Muller, G. H. Marlman, A. Logan and D. T. Morris will be shipped to Latonia Wednesday. Fred Cooks horses arrived this morning from the. east and are quartered at Churchill Downs.
