Posing, away well in motion and showing good form, followed Green Room closely to the stretch turn, where she took the lead and held the others safe, winning with plenty iu reserve. Green Room ran a good race, but tired slightly in the final drive. Ida Davis, probably best, was away ruuniug, but for some reason taken far back in the first quarter, moved up with a rush on the stretch turn after going wide and got up in the last stride for third placs. Optional ran a good race and will improve. Daring began slowly and closed a big gap, favors a longer distance and is at present in good form. Frank Bill tired. Zipango, running to his best form and given a good ride, was a sharp factor for the first half, took the lead on the stretch turn and, going fast at the end, held Plausible safe. The latter- ran a good, consistent race, showed speed and only tired in the final strides. Timothy Wen was right there all the way, hut tired in the final drive. Grace Larsen was taken wide most of the way and finished fast. Miss Lida began with her usual slowness and finished going gamely. Redgauntlet had a rough trip and eau do much better. Mansard had clear sailing all the way and, showing the most speed, held the others safe for the entire trip and won well in hand. Sir Russell moved into a contending position soon after the start and nut r.p a good performance. Hector, shuttled back soon after the start and suffering from additional interference on the stretch turn, had to bump his way through in the stretch and finished fast. Black Mantilla also suffered from bumping near the end and ran a good race. Excitement had a rough trip all the way and would have been a sharp factor with clear sailing. Roscoe tired badly in the last furlong. Alcor would not extend himself fully. Harmakis, also showing good form, was a close contender In the early stages and, saviug ground on the stretch turn, finished fast and got up for second place in the final strides. Celeres, favored by his light impost, showed the most early speed, but tired when pot to a hard drive in the stretch. El Otros ceased to be a sharp factor after going a half. Devout and Old Stoue were caught in a jam on the first turn, which eliminated them as serious contenders. Red Loaf was badly cut down on the first turn. Scratched 64836 Chief Millikin, 94. Lustig weaved his way through on the stretch turn and, going gamely at the end, was a fast going third. Martius, hard ridden all the way, ran in improved form. French Nun tirtd fast after going a. half. Babe B. showed early sieed, but quit Iu the final drive. Intense closed a big gap from a slow beginning. Augieta was poorly handled and can do much better.
