Vails, on the Inside and outpaced in the early running, closed up with a great rush In the last quarter aud Is very promising. Arimo, away poorly, closed up steadily throughout and ran a game race. Dan Buhrc got away poorly and loomed up on the hist turn witli a superior display of speed, but quit badly at the end. Vox Populi, away badly and reiR-atcdly pulling up in the first quarter, closed a big gap. George S. Davis showed brilliant speed, but failed to stay. Lord Boanerges got away very badly. Fish Hawk, away poorly and shut off and knocked to the rear at the half, closed a big gap, but could never get up in a cracking good effort. Wes was crowded on the first turn, but got into an early lead ami made the running to. the last furlong, where he succumbed under a weak finish after being crowded sharply to. the inner rail. Rapid Water was sore and broke fiatfooted, was badly outpaced for the first half, but closed an immense gap in the last half and finished a fast running third. Arklirta got away badly, but maintained strenuous pursuit of the leaders for six furlongs and then retired. Red Friar, away very badly, had no chance at the short distance, but made up a lot of ground. Flyback quit early and can do better. Nemesis, away poorly, steadily .improved her position into a fast going third, ran a game race and appears like a coming good filly. Single Shot was knocked into at the start and never got into her full stride, closed up some ground, blit was never dangerous. Bohemia got away badly and closed a big gap, running a cracking race.
