BURNS IS DOING WELL IN FRANCE. James McLaughlin, Jr. has received a letter from Tommy Burns, his brother-in-law,- who Is riding In France, to the effect that he Burns is. doing as well as might be expected under difficult circum-stances. Burns does not find It dhScult to make weight, and the French game is not hard, but his mployer keeps changing trainers, and the morale of die stable is constantly upset. Burns urges young McLaughlin to join him in France and take up training.
