GARTHS STRING OF FRESH HORSES. New York, September 27. Billy Garth has arrived at Belmont Park from his Virginia home with fifteen horses and will be much In evidence from now until the close of the season, as the horses in the stable are fresh, after a rest and may be depended upon to show to the best advantage. He is likely to le a factor in the three-year-old chasing situation also, if stories which have preceded him from Washington are one-half true. T. S. Martin, the three-year-old; by Fatherless, who is trained by Garth for C. C. Smithson, lias schooled so well at Bennings that he nt once comes into the limelight among the chasers of this class which will have their first public outing at Brighton next Monday. Garth says himself that he has never seen a more promising green jnmper than T S. Martin, ne will Iks tried out over the Belmont Park course Saturday and owners hereabouts with promising three-year-olds are anxious to sec the son of Fatherless school over the stiff country there.
