Won easily; second the same; third driving. Massive outbroke the others and, after racing Princess Royal into submissiou, ran into a winning lead and was well In hand at the finish. Chippewa, easily best of the others, made a game challenge on the turn into the homestretch, but tired under punishment in the last furlong. Herman Johnson shook off Princess Royal in the stretch run, but was driving to the limit at the end to stall off Ancient Witch. Glimmer drew away when straightened out for the stretch run, but tired at the end and was driving to the limit to stall off Emlnola. The latter finished fast and gamely under punishment and wearing the winner down. Charley Ward began slowly and, running on the outside all the way, finished gamely under a drive. Bryan came through on the inside when making the turn into the stretch after being reserved in the early running and was well in hand at the finish. Solon Shingle was given a bad ride and ran into hree or four pockets during the race, but finished very gamely under punishment. Cigarllghter was outrun all the way and tired under punishment in the. last furlong. Royal Window was much used in setting the pace and quit In the stretch. Scarfell rushed to the front when the start came and, showing much speed, the others never got near him. Cadlchon was always in closest pursuit, held the others safe at all stages and is capable of a better race than he showed today. Nattie Bumppo did his best and was tiring at the end and driving to the limit to stall off Conde. Granada looked dry and dull when going to the post, ran much below bis true form and his race should be thrown out. Conde went well and liuished gamely. Won driving; second the same. .Miss Cesnrion outbroke her opponents when the start came and set a fast pace, stood a long drive through the stretch gamely and outstayed Tanager at the end. Tanager ran well, was carried wide on the tm-n into the homestretch and repeatedly bumped by the winner in fhe final furlong and Shilling legloeked Lee all through the last sixteenth. NIoless finished gamely under punishment and just managed to get up In time to ln-at out Tanbark. It was a bad ride on the latter and his race should not be considered. Little Red, suddenly improved, went around the others with a rush on the first turn and opened up a long lead in the run down the -backstretch, but was hard ridden, through the last sixteenth to stall off Nonsense. The latter, after being saved for six furlongs, was closing up on the winner at the finish. Scarecrow was cut off-and knocked back on the first turn and-Just managed to last long enough to stall off Cobmosa at the end. The latter pulled up lame.
