Intense, running to her best form and favored by the soft going, forced a fast pace to the stretch turn, where she took the lead and held the others safe in the final drive. Rubalyat, away poorly, closed a big gap, finished fast and rail a winning race. Oasis had no mishaps and ran fairly well. Princlpia, away poorly and. "interfered with in the early stages,- finished fast. Ingolthrlft ran a fairly good race. Daring came from a long way back in the stretch. Mayor Johnson ran poorly. Golden Mineral, away well, was sent into a long dead from the start aud, going gamely throughout, finished fast and won with plenty in reserve. Chamblee was a forward contender from the start and, finishing gamely, outstayed Joe Lessen The latter tired after forcing the pace to the stretch and ran a poor race. Inflammable ran a fairly good race. Morendo moved up with a rush after going a half, but tired in the final drive. Athena was given a bad ride, kept far back throughout and can do much better. St. Volma was a bad trailer in the early stages, but moved up fast after going one round of the field. Creollu showed good form under weak handling. New Amsterdam tired after early prominence. Manzano ran a bad race and can do better. Sam Hoffheimer found the weight too mneh. Gus Lanka was a good contender at the time he fell at the 6lxth jump. My Bessie ran a good half before tiring. Edwin T. Fryer began slowly, but closed a big gap and, with better handling, would have been a sharp factor. Belden had to overcome a lot of interference, but finished fast under a hard drive and outgamed Sand Bath. The latter was In close quarters most of the way and put up a good performance. Tarp ran poorly. Gauze quit after going three-quarters. Brait was caught in a jam soon after the start and unseated his rider.
