SHAW . TO HAVE. 5;000 AND EXPENSES. It Is, However, Not Definite That He Will Sign a Contract to Ride in Germany. , New York, October 10. Whether or not jockey Shaw will ride for Weinberg Brothers in Germany next year depends entirely upon the terms of the contract aside from the money feature. Some time ago George Walker wrote to Shaw asking for his terms. Shaw replied that he would sign a contract for 5,000 and all. of his expenses for the season. He received a reply by cable saying that the term3 were agreeable, and that details of the terms would be mailed. Shaw is now awaiting his fate for next year in the letter en route from Germany. If everything else is agreeable as the retainer named Shaw will sign a contract; if not, he will remain "here. Shaw is not anxious to go abroad, but with an advantageous engagement believes that he can do better there- than here. He would not be asked to make less than 110 or 112 pounds. He has" never been In better form than, this season and will surely keep up the reputation of American riders if he decides to go abroad.
