BEST MAN DIES AT LATONIA. Cincinnati, O., October 13. Best Man, the seven-year-olds sou of Florist Effie C, was found dead in his stall at Latonia yesterday. Best Man was bred by Scoggan Brothers, and later -passed into the hands of Lester Reiff, then to J. Bondy and from him to Pat Knebelkamp. The latter had trained him for Jumping. He showed himself to be pretty shifty at it, and Knebelkamp turned down an offer of ,500 for him. The horse injured his leg in the early part of the Latonia spring meeting, and as Knebelkamp got into trouble later lie gave the horse ,to Frank Duffy, the ex-steeplechase jockey. Duffy got the horse up again, and had him in training at Latonia and expected to start him ak New Orleans. .
