BELMONT, PARK STAKES OF THIS WEEK. The seeoifd and last week of the Belmont Park autumn uieeting begins tomorrow. From what took place in the first week of the meeting under unfavorable weather and track conditions it can easily be dedueed that some great displays of high class speed are to be recorded before the closing race of next Saturday afternoon, provided fair weather and a fast track is the order of each day. Eleven stakes are to be rim off in the course of the week including the most valuable of American steeplechases. Monday afternoon will bring about the decision of the Autumn Meadow Brook Steeplechase and the Westchester Ilighweight Handicap, the names of the probable starters appearing in this issue of Daily Racing Form. The Kaucho del Paso Stakes, for two-year-olds, wm ue rull Tuesday. It is a dash of three-quarters of a mile with such good performers as Gold Lady, Botanist, Don Enrique, Rosemount, Kentucky Beau, Tourenne, Fantastic, Pope Joan, Vox Popull, Arcite, Altuda, Sewell, Purslane, Frank Lord, Bat Masterson, Peuarris, Kilialoe, Aletheuo and Joe Miller among its nominations. It should produce a good race and will be given an extra dash of interest if Frank Lord is given a chance, with good weight up, to show what he can do against such cracks as Sewell, Penarris aud Kentucky Beau. Wednesday afternoon will be distinguished by the running of the long-established Champagne Stakes, for two-year-olds, and the New ltocheile Stakes, for three-ycar:olds and over. The -Champagne hits been run .annually since 1807 and, being a dash of seven-eighths of -a mile, calls for stamina as well as speed. Among the eliglbles are Peter Pan, Ballot, Fountainblue, Areite, Kentucky Beau, Convilie, Keunyetto, Purslaue, AV. H. Daniel, Eddie Ware, George S. Davis, .Superman, Pope Joan, Don Enrique, Altuda, Tourenne aud Prince Hampton, besides lesser lights of the track. The Belmont Autumn AVeight for Age Race is the longest nice of the meeting, being a dasli of two miles and a quarter.
