IMPORTANT SALE AT LEXINGTON. I.exinglon. Ky., October 13. The sale of thoroughbred horses which is to be held here under the auspices of the Fasig-Tipton Company, beginning November 20, will be one of the most important in this section in the past half-a-dozen years. It will le marked by the dispersal of four studs. A clause in the will of the late Captain S. S. Brown makes it imperative that the executor of his estate sell all the stallions and mares at Senorita Farm. The farm Itself however, doesnot necessarily have to be sold by auction. Captain W. Harry Brown has the privilege of retaining this by satisfying the other heirs of his deceased brother. He has made no public announcement of his intentions. Some persons, however, who profess to know his plans, say that he was so impressed with the high average obtained for the yearlings from Senorita Farm last pprtng that he deems it good business policy to continue the breeding establishment under the management of Max Samuelson. These persons expect to see him the buyer of the choicest of the mares. There Is apt to le stout bidding for Garry Hermann. This horse has shown that, properly muted, he will make good as a sire. Another stud to be dispersed Is Oakwood, wh,ich wan so successfully conducted by Charles F. Mc-MeeUin, who lost his life In the wreck at Salisbery, England, July 1. Like Captain Brown, Mr. Mc-Meekln specified-in his will that his horses should all be sold. Woolsthorpe is the premier stallion at oakwood and among the mares is Sallie of Navarre, the dam of Salvidere. ft. Hi Anderson will part with all of the horses in Teas Over Stud, which was named in honor of the dam of Dick Welles, Ort Wells and Security. David Gideejp, when he leased Holmdel Farm in New Jersey, to E. R. Thomas, removed all of his mares to Kentucky. He has now decided to depart from the ranks or the breeders and to devote his time exclusively to racing. He will sell these mares, bufwlll retain his yearlings and weanlings. In addition to all of the breeding stock, there will be largo consignments of yearlings from Milton Youngs McGrathiana Stud, James B. Hagglns Elmen-dorf Stud, and John B. Maddens Hamburg Place. Many bargains have come out of this late autumn sale .in past years, noticeable Instances being Endurance by Right and Rams Horn.
