Solly M. broke running and beat the barrier, but was reserved in the early running and wore down Hereafter on the stretch turn, then came fast and won eased up through the last furlong. Malta ran a good race and finished fast and gamely. Miss Martha also showed Improved. form and was gaining at the end. Mlldrene dropped far back soon after the start and came with a belated rush through the stretch. Here-nfter quit badly after showing the most speed for a half. Harding ran as if he outclassed the others, was restrained to the stretcli turn, where he passed Miss Leeds in a flash and won eased up. Miss Leeds ran well, stood a hard drive through the stretch and was going gamely at the end. Daring was badly outpaced in the early stages, but moved up resolutely in the stretch and finished with a rush. Matador tired fast after going a half and only ran fairly well. Nonle Lucille showed improved form, but quit in the stretcli. Angleta had no mishaps and can do better. Devout was caught in a jam soon after the start and had to go wide most of the way, but moved up with a rush near the half and tired from his early effort. M?ijor T. J. Carson showed early speed and tired. Wee Lass was poporly handled, but would have been a slmrp factor but for interference soon after the start. Marvel P. tired after going a half. Miss Rillie, best handled, was reserved in a prominent position for the first mile and a quarter, then moved up when called on and, dashing into ,1 long lead, was never in serious danger of defeat, winning eased up near the end. Mamie Algol trailed the others far back in the early running and moved ui fast after going a mile and a half, but was not good enough to beat the winner. Inflammable was a sharp factor throughout, although tiring near the end. Elliott quit badly after going a mile and ran a bad race. Lightning Conductor showed the most early speed, but tired slightly after going five furlongs. Fair Fagot had no mishaps and stood punishment well. Minot tired fast afte" going a half. Joe Coyne, also favored by the start, was a for- ward contender all the way and outgamed Crowshade at the end. The latter moved into a contending position after going a quarter, but tired in the drive through the stretch. Lutie Mac closed a big gap from a poor beginning and finished fast. Bitter Hand ran fairly well. Telegrapher tired badly in the last half and will improve. Sanction failed to show much speed and was outrun throughout.
