MORE BAD WEATHEE AT DALLAS. Dallas. Texas, October IS. It was nsain gray and threatening today, but a record crowd for Dallas was in the grandstand when the first race was called. The twenty-two books had all they could attend to, llie ring being a seething mass of humanity. Despite the heavy track short priced horses were very much in evidence. Alonza was the favorite for the opening race, but A. T. Gardner captured his maiden race at the meeting with Bose Hart, a good looking miss by Plaudit. Dick Watkins also took his first purse in the second race, Flavigny getting up to beat Cadillac a bead at the finish. Lord of the Forest then beat Haughty. The filly was best, hut was off badly and after leading to the eighth post gave it up. The best class race ,of the day was the fifth, at a mile and a quarter, with three starters. Reservation, in a ding-dong finish, beat Footlights Favorite a head. Pity, the second choice, was easily best In the last race.
