TRAINER MAY IN A SMASH-UP. Lexington, Ky., October 18. "Bub" May, trainer of the Paul J. Rainey stable, in attempting to avoid a collision with two vehicles on the Versailles road, drove his automobile into a telegraph jiole. As the result of the smash-up, Clqin Pierce, who handles the young horses at Hamburg Place, is in a local hospital, badly bruised about the body and believed to be internally injured. May and the three other men in his party were not injured.
