JOCKEY TAYLOR. "RIDES TO ORDERS." Jockey Taylor, according to the Cincinnati En-: quirer, is a pirihead. This conclusion was reached! after his ride on Joe Coyne at Latonia Wednesday. Taylor had taken up the horse so suddenly as to. practically choke htm. "As soon as Taylor weighed-in," says the Enquirer, "he was called lcfore Judge Price and afcked to explain his ride on Joe Coyne. I rode to orders said the-jockey. I was told not to make the running with Minnie Adams and reserve Joe Coyne for the finish. " Well, havent you got some common sense said Judge Price, and dont you know that a man does not want his horse yanked up in that fashion "All Taylor could say was those were Mr. Mc-Caffertys orders "McGaflerty was sent for and ho slated that lie had given the loy orders not to make the running, as he thought that his colt would get the place if held in reserve to -the end. Tts my fault, Judge Price said McCaficrty. - I bet on Joe Coyne for the place and thought that if be went out chasing Minnie Adams that he would get nothing, so I told Taylor to take back, and he did with a vengeance." "McCafferTy shoived the tickets lie bet on Joe Coyne and Said that he told several friends to be sure to let on him. As Judge Price thought that the damage was done through the plnheailedncss of Taylor, he passed it tip without further investigation."
