Lady Arion, running to her best form and clear of interference, forced a fast pace in the early stages and, saving ground when turning into the stretch, drew away in the final furlong. Miss Alert finished fast through the stretch and was gaining on the winner at the end. Nedra showed-her customary high order of speed, but tired in the stretch. Beau Brummel-ran a good race. Buren Arnold tired fast after going a good half Sallie Suter ran a poor race and can do better. Scratched 65264 Cahore, 107; 65296 San Ardo, 110. Daring was reserved in the early running, wore down the early leaders after going a half and won cantering through the last furlong. Berisonhurst showed improved form and stayed better than usual in the final drive. Bazil finished going gamely and outlasted Galllthea. in the stretch drive. The latter showed speed for five furlongs and will do better presently. Skyte closed a gap and ran fairly well. DOrmont had a rough trin and finished going gamely. Plebeian tired after going a half. Joe Coyne ran as if best at the weights, was poorly handled and repeatedly forced back in the first half, had to go wide into the stretch and, finishing with a rush, wore down Martha Gorman in the last .sixteenth and won drawing away. The latter followed Old Stones pace closely to the stretch turn, where she appeared a certain winner, but could not stand off Joe Coynes game challenge. The Clansman had a rough trip and was almost thrown soon after the start, but finished fast and would have been closer up with clear sailing. Old Stone showed superior early speed, but tired after going three-quarters and .vas probably short. Scratched C5311 Dr. Spruill, 100. Overweights Joe Coyne, 2 pounds. Dawson ran a good race, but was tiring fast near the end and barely lasted long enough to save second place. Harlequin, badly ridden and suffering from slight Interference, finished fast and, better handled, would have boen a sharp contender for first place. Sam Parmer ran well, but tired In the final drive. Lady Jocelyn was a distant trailer in the early stages and closed a fair gap. Rejectable fell while in a contending position. Toboggan was well handled In the early stages and saved from the fast pace until well straightened out in the stretch, where he moved up fast, but bore over against McChord, Impeding the latter slightly and drew away In the last sixteenth, but was disqualified for fouling. McChord followed My Dulcie closely and wore her down In the stretch, but was thoroughly beaten when Impeded by Toboggan. Ida Davis came from a long way back in the last quarter and finished with a rush. My Dulcie showed a good flight of speed for the first five furlongs, then tired. Oasis ran a poor race and can do much better. Scratched 65029. Uncle Henry, hard ridden all the way, went into a long lead from the start, but tired slightly after going wide into the stretch and was probably best. Reboundcr ran well and had no mishaps. Red Thistle ran forwardly from the Btart. St. Tammany was badly outrun for the first half, but came fast thereafter and is showing steady improvement. Sincerity Belle, poorly handled and taken wide most of the way, can do better. Intense tired in the last quarter. Albula broke down after going a half.
