Mlntla, from a striding start, was in forward contention on the inside to the far turn, where he was shuflled back, but got up again by saving ground and won out after a long closing drive. Varietes, away slowly, steadily improved his position and challenged formidably in the stretch, but could not quite get up in a cracking race. Azellna, away badly, closed a tremendous gap in a remarkable effort, Cassandra was close up at the end, held a prominent position throughout and is improving. Grace Curtis showed brilliant speed, setting the pace to the stretch before she tired. Rusk, badly messed about and repeatedly interfered with, rap a good race. Commune was closing up fast in the last quarter. Alencon was crowded out at the start and had no chance afterwards. Scratched 652792Aster dOr, 98; 65260 Ava, 95. Luretta is fresh and good, maintained close pursuit of the pacemaker from the start arid wore hiin down decisively in the stretch. Columbia Girl was always in forward contention and gamely outstayed Dclmore for second place. Delmore, away poorly oa the outside, lost ground on the first turn, but closed up rapidly in the last half into a fast going third and is in his best form. GIvonni Balerlo set a stilt pace for Rlx furlongs, but again failed to stay. Panique, badly messed about, had a rough journey and was closing up fast richt at the end. Red Light, inadequately handled and away poorly, made up a lot of, ground and is about cue. Rather Royal showed speed, but failed to stay. Scratched 65278 Delphie, 103; 65149 Bowling Bridge, 103. Jacobite, from a flying start, set a tremendous pace and saved ground on the stretch turn, but eventually succumbed in a game stretch drive. Ben Ban, always in forward contention, finished fast and would have leen second in another stride. Zlenap was outpaced in the early stages, but finished well. Hot Toddy was badly pocketed ion the last turn and forced to the outside in the stretch, could not quite get up and was eased up in the last sixteenth and Is better over a longer route. Tommy Waddeli maintained a forward position In the early running and, closing up with a rush at the -nd, won out In the last stride. Tileing etole a long lead on the first turn and held sway by a wide gap to the final sixteenth, where he suddenly began to tiro and, boring out, was nailed in the last couple of strides. Master of Craft ran in the rear for seven furlongs, but closed up rapidly at the end and is improving. Cresslna, after being prominently placed on the inside, unexpectedly tired in the last quarte-and her race should be thrown out. Banker closed a lot of ground in the last six furlongs and is improving. Sailor Boy quit after being prominent for six furlongs. Belle of Iroquois held a good forward position in the early running and was crowded back on the last turn, but closed up fast on the outside in the stretch. Donna Elvira had a rough journey for the first half, then came from the rear with a rush and was easily second best. Conjecture, outpaced and in close quarters for the first half, finished fast. Hig ginbotham, a slow beginner and away badly, closed a big gap under an inadequate ride.
