VOTE TO ANNEX ASCOT PARK. It is reported that the proposition to annex to the city of Los Angeles tfiat outside district in which Ascot Park is located was carried by a narrow margin at the special election held Monday. In the long run this .will probably do away with Ascot Park racing, but Is not likely- to .affect the meeting scheduled to open Thanksgiving Day. The ordinance does not go Into effect for some time and it Is said that the validity of the election will be assailed in the courts, which will delay matters until the end of the approaching meeting. In the meantime the reason for the track at Arcadia is plain and It will probably be pushed to completion as speedily as may .be possible.
