JOCKEY MILLER BUYS AN AUTOMOBILE. Washington, D. C, November 20. Jockey Walter Miller will leave here for San Francisco next Saturday night. He is under engagement to President Tom Williams of the New California Jockey Club for the Avinter and will begin riding at Oakland immediately upon his arrival. "Packy" Fitzsimmous, who makes Millers engagements, today placed an order Avith a Chicago firm for an automobile to Iks delivered to Miller at San Francisco not later than December 15. The price of the machine was about ,000. Just lefore he left New York for the Bcn-nings meeting Miller purchased a cottage at Gravesend for G,000. It will be his residence next season.
