MAHER THIRD IN ENGLANDS JOCKEY LIST. London, November 20. The close of the racing season finds Hlggs, the English jockey, heading the list of winners with 150 victories. Madden, another English jockey, is- second with 104, and Danny" Mnlir, the American rider, is third with 103. There is no doubt that Maher vfouid have been second had he not been out of the saddle for a fortnight because of his accident during the summer and had be not left England before the season ended. It is iwluted out that he is the only jockey it would have paid to "follow," as an investment of upon all his mouuts -would have yielded a prolit of 13. New York, November 20. He is at present at his ohMiome in Hartford Conn. lie will remain in America until about March 1. ne will ride in England again next year for Lord Derby.
