Atkins broke well and was reserved in close pursuit of the pacemaker to the stretch, where lie toak a good 1ead, but was driving again at the end to stall off Governor Davis. The latter, after trailing the leaders, came with a belated end rush and finished going fastest of all. Rosearo outbroke the others and, after showing the way for six furlongs, finished flagging, but game. Talamund ran moderateiv well for six furlongs. MIna Gibson was nearly left. Claudes- tine, after strenuous pursuit of the leaders, outstayed the others for third place, sjusic Christian loomed up on lie last turn, but tired. Laura P. M. is still short.
