JUBILEE OUTGAMES BILLIE HIBBS. Littlefield Has His Revenge When Compute Colt Wins Druid Hill Park Stakes. Baltimore. Mel.. April .".O.— The experts who had come to the conclusion that Billie Hibbs was the best two year-old in this sec-lion had occasion to reverse I heir opinion today. In the Druid Hill Park Stakes Billie Hibhs was beaten, seemingly on his merits, be Fred Little-fields Compute colt Jiihilee-. As usual. Billie Hihbs broke in front and set a hot pare ■ the stretch. Here Jubilee came up and in a long drive outgamed Bfltie Hibbs. The colts had met twice- before and each time the verdict had gone lo Billie Hihhs. Littlcncld. however, was not satisfied and has always contended that he had the better colt. In the Jesse Brown Cup at Benuing the distance was a half mile and this favored Billie Hibbs, which is a quirk breaker. In the Clabaugh Memorial last Wednesday the distance was 4 furlongs, but the track did not suit Jubilee and he made a poor showing. Today he had his distance and track and won like a good one. He is a colt of fine conformation, game to the core aud looks as if he will go on. A good card of seven races, one of them a steeplechase, was run off. The racing people here are very fond of these c-rtcss country races and the management is catering to that feature. The race today brought out seven starters and was hotly contested. Paprika and Rocket had this issue to themselves at the end and in the run on the flat Rocket outstayed Paprika. Courtland Smith was starting his good jumper Mr. McCann for the first time this year and thought well of him. Mr. McCann showed a good turn of speed, but was evidently short. Ormondes Bight came right back today and won the third race with a rush in the stretch after Hyperion had set a warm pace and opened a big gap. Preston Burch brought a good two-year-old out In the second race in Laughing Eyes. Ernest Utterback has bought Allegra from Robert Neville and John Pangle has purchased Kitty Smith from Billy Garth. Seven races are on the program for tomorrow and with Grafton, Ida Reck, Queen of Knight: Glorious Betsy. Bletnl er. Awless; Old Colony. Melting. St. Jeanne: Rock Storm.
