Nellie Burn was off in front but dropped back and followed the two leaders up to the stretch, then moved up fast and in a driving finish finally outstayed Abjure. The latter showed a great burst of early speed and appeared a certain winner most of Cue way but tired in the final drive. East Knd ran in nearest pursuit of Abjure to midway of the Stretch, then fell back beaten. Panique closed a big gap and finishing I -i would have been third in another stride. Chippewa fell directly after the start and interfered with Panique and Water Pansy. Dog Rose was speedy, Stood a drive gamely and outstayed Bekb mo for second place. The latter got into third place quickly and stayed there. Prince Brutus ran a bad race and can do much lietter.
