Harry Scott ran a good race and ap-1 eaied a certain winner in the stretch, but tired slightly near the end and swerved to the inner rail. John L. Inglis suffered from slight interference in the early stages, but moved up well after going three-quarters and swerved slightly near the end and this probably was responsible for his defeat.
