J. LEE KEEPS UP HIS WINNING FORM. , Home in Front on Four— D. Austin Is Fined 0 for Rough Riding. Cincinnati. O.. June 12. — -Bad weather and a poor card cut down the attendance at Latonia this afternoon. The track was in the. worst condition it has l een in for years. Jockey J. Lee was .igain much in evidence. He piloted four winners, one second and one third. In the feature race, the handicap at seven-eighths of a mile. Lee rode Ffnvoy and the interference with which the horse met had much to do with his failure to finish better than third. D. Austin, on Lexoline, was Jheld mostly to blame for the interference and was fined STiO for his rough riding. V. Powers, on Rickjey. got off with a lecture for the part he played in Impeding Envoy. Harry Scott, showing improved form ami well backed at a long price, took the purse In a hard drive to wear down Lexoline. The* 1 betting on Pasadena had a queer look, and th* judges cautioned I. Boland, while he was on hie way to the post, to do his best. Pasadena would have been a sharp contender under intelligent handling. The state of the track can best be judged by the time made in this race, 1:35 for seven furlongs. Weslern was the only successful favorite. The majority of the bookmakers, however, had the worst of tbe speculative argument, as all of Leeta mounts were liberally supported. Dr. Sprulll In the closing race was the longest-priced winner. Lee secured an advantage at the i •tort which the others could not overcome, alliiuufcli Matador made a game effort throughout to wear him down. Considerable pressure is being brought to heel for the reinstatement of Jockey Dearliom. Judge Price says lie will not modify his ruling. W. J. Young will ship his entire siting, including The Abbot, winner of the Latonia Derby, to Buffalo tonight. The Abbot will be a starter in the Buffalo Derby next Saturday. Mr. Young made an effort to secure J. Lee as The Abbots pilot, but a Brier engagement will keep the colored rider here. K. J. GilderslccMS horses also go to Buffalo t on i glit. Jockey D.
