INCREASE PURSES AT FORT ERIE. Buffalo, N. Y., August S. Horsemen were agreeably surprised when the announcement was made that on and after Monday next no purse of less than 00 will be given at Fort Erie. This is intended to counteract the efforts of the Empire City folks to induce owners to ship to the Yonkers track.
