Peter Sterling was ridden by Maliu, trailed tlie others for five furlongs, then went to the front with a rush and won easily by five lengths. George C. Bennett viewed tlie running of the fourth race with much satisfaction, his home-bred colt. Petulant, winning with great ease and defeating among others the highly tried C. W. Tlie latter will be schooled for steeplechasing. T. Dycer shipped his stable to Washington this morning where he will rest up for a couple of weeks before continuing on his journey to Norfolk. M. Gorman, P. Delaney and A. 13. Gates will leave here some time next week for Quebec, where a two days meeting will be given previous to the opening of the meeting at Montreal.
