NOTASULGAS ENGAGEMENTS. The crack filly Notasulga had few stake engagements in the spring and summer events of the eastern turf and in consequence has been considerately given a long rest from active racing with a strenuous autumn campaign. She had been nominated for many stakes at Sheepshead Bay, Graves-end, Belmont Park, Jamaica and Aqueduct and will be given abundant opportunities to maintain her claim to leadership of tlie two-year-old fillies of 1907. Some alarm was caused by her picking up a nail while being exercised at Saratoga recently, but nothing serious resulted and the good filly Is taking her work in satisfactory fashion. She may be started in a purse race before the Saratoga meeting closes, but it is more probable that she will not be sent to the post again until the Sheepshead Hay meeting opens. Here she has the following stake engagements: , September 5, Dash Stakes. 5-S mile. September 7, Flatbush Stakes, 7-S mile. September 10, Autumn Stakes, 0-4 mile. September 11, Belles Stakes, 5 1-2 furlongs. September 1!!, Golden Hod Stakes, 0 1-2 furlongs. September II, Great Eastern Handicap, 3-4 mile.
