Tipping was far back In the early running, but moved up steadily and, coming fast through the stretch, yot up to win goiiig away. Belle of Iroquois closed up quickly iu a good position, ran forwardiy and .iiiiely and seemed the winner in the stretch, but tired in the final drive. Sister Francos was off poorly and. after closing an immense gap, tired from too strenuous use iu getting up into second place. Anncta Lady was crowded back on the far turn when going well and finished witli a rush when clear. Lady Aera showed speed, but failed to stay. Anna May was in close pursuit of the early leaders to the stretch, then fell back and will do better. Golden AVest set a fast pace to the stretch and quit badly. Paul Jones, a superior steeplechaser, was reserved for half lie journey and, taking the lead in the last mile, easily outstayed and outtiaced Paprika. The latter was always a prominent and game contender mid tint iqi a good performance, but was no match for the winner today. Rocket fenced and ran well and finished a game third. The latter ran in nearest pursuit of the winner to thc-stretch and, after losing ground through a collision, finished fast and, barely failing to get wasiiillucky iu losing. Zipango got olf slowly, but mover up steadily and, running into the lead on the backstrctch, maintained his advantage to the end and gamely outstayed Standover. The latter got off Foorly, Fmt soon ran into prominence and, after being shulllcd back, came on again into a fast going second and is much improved. Phil Finch closed an immense gap from a toor send-off and should score before long on bis showing today. Vendor ran a "good three-quarters and tired. Kaston ran fairly well. Miss Delaney finished with a belated rush after escaping from a pocket. AVooIstone also came fast when too late. Jubilee Juggins showed superior early speed, but failed to stay.
