SON OF MEDDLER GOES TO ENGLAND. New York, September 7. The yearling bay colt by Meddler Won-by-Waiting, which Clarence H. Mackey reserved out of the sale of his Kingston Stud youngsters at Sheepshcad Bay Thursday, with a bid of 5,000, was shipped today to England. He "is to be trained at Beckhampton by Sam Darling, who prepared Galee More and Ard Patrick for their Derby victories. The colt by Meddler is eligible to the Derby of 1909 and other rich stakes in England, and Mr. Mackey, who is now shooting grouse on the moors of Scotland, will visit him on his arrival at Darlings training quarters.
