SHIPMENTS OF YEARLINGS. New York, September 7. The yearlings bought by Roy A. Rainey and Paul J. Rainey at the sales this season were shipped today to William Gartha place at Charlottsvillc, Va. J. J. Walsh is making arrangements to ship hi9 yearlings direct to Oakland, Cal., to be broken and raced early next season. Mr. Walsh, has already purchased thirteen youngsters, and may buy a few more. Harry Rites has gone to Baltimore with a carload of yearlings to be broken and trained at PImlico. Fred Presgrave is breaking a number of yearlings for Thomas Clyde at Salisbury, Md. Walter O. Parmer Is here to attend the sale of the Edenwold yearlings at Sheepshead Bay Monday. He says the brother to Notasulga will not be among his offerings, though the son of The Commoner and Touch Not is catalogued. He was ailing when the consignment left Tennessee and could not be brought to the sale.
