Colloquy broke fast, showed her usual high order of speed and, racing Usury into subjection, came away thereafter and won cantering. Convolo moved up steadily and fast and ran a good race. Hannibal Bey, an active contender in the early stages, fell back at the stretch turn, but came again. Usury had no mishaps. Funiculairos rider lost a stirrup at the start and was almost unseated, which caused him to bo practically out of it, but lie closed up a big gap. Little Osage, showing a high order of speed, dashed into a long lead at once and set the pace at a fast clip throughout and won well in hand, llanbridge, after overcoming early interference, finished with a rush and outstayed Hollow in the closing drive. The latter ran well, but tired near the end. Hostile Hyphen ran well all the way and had no mishaps. Ordono can do much better. No Engine ran a good race for him. Beau Brummel suffered from interference and came resolutely in the last furlong. Hazel Patch, under weak riding, ran a good race. The Minks, came from a long way back in the stretch. Lady Carol tired in the last furlong after an early display of speed, llart-itig ran well. French Nun. apparently best today, was going well in hand and a seeming winner but, under weak riding, succumlied to Judge Treen s rush. Mattie Mack an well, but was taken wide for the entire trip. Ada Rice showed a great flight of speed, but quit near 1 he end. Bensouhurst had a rough trip and would have been closer up with clear sailing. Barusdale can do much better.
