SKYO HAS TAKEN HER SPEED HOME. Lexington, Ky., September -14. Skyo, Hughes Brothers crack two-year-old filly bids fair to lie quite handy in the racing of Kentucky this fall. She worked five furlongs Thursday over a rather indifferent track in 1:01; the track record is 1:00. She broke slowly and lagged round the first hundred yards. She will race here next week and probably in two or three races at Latonia. So far in her nine starts she has never been out of the money, which is a clean showing for a filly that was a 00 yearling. Hughes Brothers have recently bought of J. B. Haggin six yearlings, including the bay colt, by Kinley Mack Shannon Rose, by Shannon; a chestnut filly, by Sombrero Crisis, by Fernandez; a brown colt, by AVatercolor, a brown colt, by Horatio; a bay filly, by Greenan and a bay filly, by Order.
