Start good. Won easily; second driving; third the same. Mack Dress, running to her best form, was restrained in the early stages and moved up with a rush after rounding the stretch turn and, passing the leaders in the final furlong, won easing up. Pantops was an active contender all the way, finished gamely and put up a good performance. Silver Cup came from a long way- back in the stretch after securing clear sailing and showed improvement. Moscow Belle, tired slightly in the stretch. Sabado was going fast at the end. Ansonia, poorly ridden, showed speed, but quit and can do much better. Mat tie Mack, showing improved form and clear of interference all the way, ran in a forward position to .the "irctch turn, where, she. moved up fast and, wearing the leaders down, won drawing away fast. Ingenue, under poor riding, was taken all over the track hi the early stages, but finished with a rush and ran a good race. Belle Scott had no mishaps and was not good enough. Blaze oLight was In a jam soon After the. start, suffered froni additional interference on the first turn and was forced to go wlJe into the stn tch, ran a good race and will soon make good. Hardshot closed a big gap from a slow beginning and finished gamely. Coon tired after going a good three-quarters. Javanese quit in the last quarter. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Lightning Conductor, away slowly, moved up steadily, finished with a rush and was going gamely at the end. Little George followed the early leaders closely and stood thi! final drive resolutely. Ben Strong showed much speed and raced Fay into subjection, but tired fast in the last furlong. Fay quit after going a good half. Expect-to-See refused to break and was left at the post. Convolo, well ridden, was restrained for the first five furlongs, moved up to Frontenac with a rusli on the stretch turn and, after a mild drive, wore him down and came away In the last sixteenth. Frontenac was hard ridden through the stretch, stood punishment gamely and outstayed Mike Sutton. The latter, much the best, was shuffled back after the start, then gained steadily and but for being interfered with in the final furlong miight have won. Miss Sain, well ridden, was kept in a contending position under restraint for the first half, then moved up and, challenging the leaders gamely, wore Rebel Queen down in the closing strides and won drawing away. Rebel Queen was prominent most of the way, wore Shirley Rossmore down after going five furlongs, but tired badly in the last furlong.- Addax was poorly ridden and allowed to drop far back on the stretch turn and then came with a terrific rush. Shirley Rossmore, hard held and poorly ridden, showed the most early speed, but tired fast in the stretch and can do much better. Carew ran as if best, followed Cull closely to the stretch turn, from where he came away and won with plenty in reserve. Charlatan ran well, finished gamely and had no mishaps. Cull, after showing the most early speed, stood the final drive gamely. Belleview appeared unfit and will improve. Harry Scott had no mishaps.
