KJn- Cobalt drew out early and. making the running, won practically all the way. The Squire maintained nearest pursuit of the winner throughout and was wearing him down slowly at the end. Arasee was a prominent contender 4o the stretch and tired in the closing drive. Goldquest caine from a long way back in the last furlong and is worth remembering. Heknows broke slowly and took a long time to get into his fitide, then made up ground rapidly on the turn, but failed to make any impression in the stretch. Hollis-tor was going fast in the last quarter. All Alone showed superior early speed, but failed to stay. Bounding -Klfc was well up at the finish. The winner was entered for ,500; no bid. Paprika was in strenuous and close pursuit of the winner all the way, but " :uld never quite get up. Garrett ran well in spots and was always a forward contender, but fenced icoily and lost ground at every obstacle. Essex II. went very wide on the turns and, after being bumped bv Paprika at the Liverpool, was never able to get up afterwards. Islam showed speed for a mile. Lady Anne, from a Hying start, was reserved behind the early pacemaker and drew out midway of the stretch, but finally succumbed. Algelone ran well and finished gamely. M:uv I, awav slowly, closed up steadily into a fast going and close up fourth. Druid steadily improved hi position and ran a good race. Cloisteress ran prominently for live furlongs. Miriam C. finished well up. Edna Jackson disliked the cuppy going and can do better, llandzarra again failed to stay, but showed much early speed and will do to watch. Uncle broke well and quicklv ranged alongside the pacemaker, drew out on the last turn, but went wide and lost considerable ground, then finished with a rush and won going away. Meelick set the pace on the inside in deep going and succumbed right at the end of a game -effort. Spooncr, pocketed and shut off. was a prominent and game contender throughout. Half Sovereign, crowded back early, had a very rough joitinev and finished a close up and fast going fourth. Fancy, nearly left, closed an immense gap and finished like a cyclone. Gene Russell suffered at the start and made up much ground in a cyclonic finish. Master Robert, crowded to the rear early, closed a gap and ran a cracking race. Blandy was whipped into the lead 011 the first turn and set the pace to the stretch, but went very wide 011 the last .turn and tired finally. Lally. away badly, made up much ground. Samuel II. Harris closed a big gap from a poor start and is improving. St. Joseph showed early speed, but failed to stay. Robador made a good showing aud liuishod close up.
