ARKANSAS OPINION FAVORS BETTING.. Hot Springs, Ark., Octolier 11. So strong lias been the desire of patrons of racing at tlie State Fair to wager, that another movement has started in tlie shape of petitions numerously signed by farmers, exhibitors and others, pleading for repeal of the anti-pool selling law. The movement started Wednesday, when tlie Elks, Eagles, Odd Fellows, Pythians and other fraternal organizations celebrated fraternal day at tlie fair with many wagers between themselves in tlie absence of bookmakers. It is said that an extra session of the Arkansas legislature is to lie called for December. Acting Governor Piudall is believed to be a friend of racing.
