May .Teiie, prominent all the way, came witli an extra good rush through the stretch and, wearing the others down, won going away. Louise K. forced the pace in the early stages and, standing a hard drive wcli, held on gamely and outstayed Moiidolla. The latter closed a gap and gained steadily in tin; stretch. Lady Martha suffered from interference, but ran poorly, although going fast near the end. Pirate Diana was shuttled back soon after the start and ran a whining race. Rose of Pink, away fast and showing the most speed, raced into a long lead from the start and, setting a fast pace all the way, had her opponents distanced after going three-quarters. Aoting stood the pace well for the first three-quarters and tired, but was best of the others. Ingenue held on well throughout and was an easing up third. Solly M. tired fast in the last half. Hyperbole had to go all around the others in the first three-quarters, moved up witli a rush, but tired in the last furlong. Joe Shields and Anna Ruskin were :romInent briefly. Stoneman had to overcome much interference in the early stages, but managed to slip through nest to the inner rail and finished fast and gamely. Overby snowed the most early speed, but tired in the Inst furlong. Merritleld. after forcing the pace for a half, tired and bore out "in tlie stretch. Joe McCarthy, poorly ridden and suffering from interference, can do much better. Mnclas was in close quarters most of the way. Enlist closed a big gap from a poor beginning. Mystilier had a rough trip. Harold Hall showed early speed, but was knocked back after going a quarter. Overweights Simon "Weil, 5 pounds; Special Delivery, 1; Ed Kane, 21; Overby, 4i. Slade ienced poorly, nearly coming to grief at the first two obstacles, showed scant speed and can do much better. Russell Sage "was pulled up after his chances appeared hopeless. Burt, away fast, was sent into a long lead at once and, blocking Colonel Bob off, held sway throughout, but had to be shaken up near the end. Beatrice K showing sudden improvement, closed a big gap steadily and finished fast. Colonel Bob followed the leader closely and but for the repeated interference probably would have won. Stanley Fay began slowly and-was outpaced all the way, although closing a good gap near the end. Dainty Dame ran fairly well. Frontenae tired after going a half. The ilhers were beaten off. The latter, after closing a big gap, finished cxlra fast and would have won in a few mor: rides. Dr. Lee Huffman had no mishaps, ran well and tired in the last quarter. Devout quit in he stretch. Knight of Ivanhoe ran fairly well. Mattie Mack was knocked back at the half and then finished gamely. Hainmeraway ran a bad race and can do much better. The winner was entered lor 00; no bid.
