No Quarter ran fairly well and would have been closer up witli clear sailing. Dnlcinea had no mishaps. Refiued was away in a tangle and failed to improve her position much at any i,:age. Polly Prim, well ridden aud showing much speed, was a forward contender to-tbe stretch turn and, saving much grouud there, soon passed Hartiug and, in a hard drive, outstayed Edwin Gum. The latter showed improved form aud came fast after going a half, appeared a certain winner iu the stretch, but tired near the end. Hartiug displayed bis usual high order of speed, but tired in the last furlong. Light Wool had no mishaps and was beaten off after going three-quarters. Heine quit badly and can do much better.
