Monfort tired after a strenuous seven furlongs pursuit of Faust, but held on well. Brbokdale Nymph, carried hopelessly wide on the first turn, moved up rapidly on the backstretch and loomed tip menacingly on the last turn, but quit fiaally. Tommy Waddell trailed close up and, closing up steadily in the last half, was a fast going third. Miss Crawford ran prominently all the way and was pocketed In the stretch, or she might have saved third place.
