THOROUGHBREDS AT AUCTION. New York, November 11. Twenty-eight horses were sold at auction by the Fasig-Tipton Company in the paddock at Aqueduct before the races Saturday. Frank R. Hitchcock secured the best bargain of the sale, when he bought the filly Lotus for . Another was the brown gelding Momentum put up by the Newcastle Stable and purchased by Frank E. Brown for ,C0O. Prince Hampton and Goldquest, both consigned by Herman B. Duryea, were retained by him for ,900 and ,300 respectively. Ramrod, from the Duryea stable, was bought by F. Ambrose Clark for ,500, and will be put to steeplechasing next year. The sale commenced witli a consignment of yearlings, the property of Perry Belmont. All of the other horses offered were horses in training, with the exception of a Toddlngton yearling in the consignment of II. B. Duryea and a yearling consigned by James B.
