Ryan has arrived at Oakland with his 13 horses, among them the stallion Dunois, which he ie will turn over to Harry Stover for stud duty at lf II Kenilwortli Fatni. A Pittsburg dispatch says William N. Getty, well known on the. race tracks of the country as is "Buster Getty," died at the home of Bookmaker ,r Nee in that city Sunday. George L. Johnston has shipped Ralmondo, the IC two-year-old half brother to Bon Mot, to New Orleans, r- where the colt is expested to break out of ,f the, maiden list this winter. The New California Jockey Club has engaged ,i Dr. David S. Saylor, a well-known veterinary surgeon r of New York, to officiate as veterinarian at it the Oakland rack during .the coming season.
