Blue Ban began slowly, but moved up steadily after rounding the stretch turn and. wearing Floridagien down in the last furlong, won drawing away. Floridagien began fast and, favored by the going, showed superior speed and only tired in the final strides. Silver Brook ran a good race and was prominent all the way. - Katherine Murphy was prominent for the first quarter, when Finn pulled her back for no apparent reason, then finished gamely and would have been a sharp factor with better riding. McAtee was a distant trailer to the stretch, where he closed a big gap. Rosebloom tired after going three furlongs. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Scratched 7174S Feast, 105; 715S3Orena, 100. Stellaland, probably best, began slowly and was kept far back In the early stages and went wide into the stretch but, gaining steadily, would have won In a few more strides. Alvise set a steady, pace for the first half, but tired in the stretch, run. De Shanno quit as if short after showing the most speed for a half. Asteroid had no mishaps. Plantland was excessively used in racing Faust Into defeat and tired in the. final drive. Pashaway ran a good race and was gaining fast at the end. Besterling tircfi in the last quarter after early prominence. Alma Dufour ran fairly well and will improve. Agile was practically left at the post. Faust set the pace and ran a good seven furlongs before tiring. Yankee Girl was always outrun, but finished fairly well. Avaunteer ran poorly. Momentum was practically left and away too poorly to be a factor. Conville, away badly, raced into a contending position in the first half, but tired badly iu the last quarter. John Carroll ran a good half before tiring. Vendor was practically left at the post.
