Leash began slowly, but made up ground very fast after entering the stretch and finished gamely under the whip. Giovanni Balerio ran well and. a long stretch drive, fitiislied resolutely. Master Lester closed a gap and tired in the final sixteenth. Arracaa ran fairly well. Sun Mark lan a had race. Colonel Jewell showed early speed and quit badly. The winner was entered for 00: no bid.
