THINKS EASTERN OUTLOOK FAVORABLE. Louisville, Ky., March 25. — M. J. Winn, general manager of the Empire City Racing Association, and also holding the same position with the New Louisville Jockey Club, has arrived here from New York. Mr. Winn has lieen in New York for the past month arranging for the spring meeting at the Yonkers track. He says he has succeeded in getting the Harlem Railroad and the street car lines to make special preparations for handling the crowds, which will visit the track in much better time than last year. Entries to the stakes offered by the Empire City Racing Association tilled better than Mr. Winn had expected, and the l»est horses racing in the east this year will run in one or more races over the Yonkers track. When asked aliout the racing situation in New York state Mr. Winn said he had been too busy himself to participate in the meetings at Albany, but had kept iu close touch with the leaders of turf affairs, and said: "There has been a big change in sentiment in New York in the last few-days. People have finally become awakened to the fact that the passage of the Aguew-Hart bills at Albany will eventually kill the greatest of all outdoor sports."
