MTJTUEL MACHINES READY AT LOUISVILLE. Louisville. Ky., March 27. — The eleven Pari-mutuel machines which will be used during the Churchill Downs meeting have- arrived from Now "iork and are in iierfect working oreler. having been thoroughly tested before ln-ing ship| ed. General manager Winn. Preside-nt Charle-s F. Grainger and .Bulge- C. F. Pric-.-, after spending a day at the track, have selected the positions for the machines. Two men will be in charge of each machine anil four cashiers will be employed. Seve-n machines will 1m- devoted to straight betting, two for sec-emd place and the- other two for those who wish to S|ieculate on their choice- finishing third. It is e-stimate-d that 300 tickets will lie sold by each machine. Ceinibination aue-tion pools will commence at 10 oclock every rae-e day. The gentle-nuns cup rae-e. which is one of the annual fixture-s at Churchill Downs, will carrv with it this spring the handsomest cup ever awanled by the officials. J. T. Combs, who is training his horses at Dong-las Park, has two of the fastest two-year-olds at the track.
